This accomplishment has earned him widespread recognition.

(via The Asian Business Review) TIN HILLLars Manuel Clasen, the Chief Executive Officer of Cruise Saudi, was awarded the title of Executive of the Year – Tourism at the Middle East Management Excellence Awards 2023.

The Middle East Management Excellence Awards are presented during an event that takes place once a year in order to recognize great executives, innovators, and teams, in addition to noteworthy HR and company initiatives that have contributed to the expansion and success of organizations located in the Middle East.

Lars Manuel Clasen, a seasoned expert in the shipping and cruise industries with over 30 years of experience, has played a vital role in guiding Cruise Saudi through its early period of exponential growth. As a result of his leadership, Cruise Saudi was able to effectively construct an ambitious offshore and onshore cruise ecosystem with the goal of establishing Saudi Arabia as a top worldwide cruise destination.

The creation of 50,000 direct and indirect jobs by 2035 is predicted to be one of the great successes that have been accomplished under Lars’s leadership, with the bulk of these positions being beneficial to the local populace. Impressively, Cruise Saudi has already achieved a Saudization rate of 77%, which demonstrates the company’s commitment to transferring the worldwide industry know-how and knowledge to the local cadre, increasing employment possibilities for Saudi citizens, and benefiting the local communities.

It has been a difficult task to take the lead in establishing a whole cruise infrastructure in a nation that is only in the beginning stages of its road toward being a tourist destination. Despite this, Lars and the rest of the Cruise Saudi team have shown that they are up to the job by displaying unyielding desire, unyielding determination, and great work.

Cruise Saudi was able to overcome the initial barrier of transforming the international impression of Saudi Arabia as a prime cruise destination by welcoming over 195,000 passengers during its most recent season. These passengers came from prominent international cruise lines such as Viking and Silversea. This brings the grand quantity of passengers who have been greeted since 2021 to an already astounding over 300,000.

The success of Cruise Saudi can be credited to the company’s dedication to provide customized, high-quality shore activities that go above and beyond the requirements of cruise lines as well as the expectations of guests. In addition, the building and operation of high-quality ports and cruise terminals by the corporation offers a strong value proposition to cruise lines operating all over the world.

Cruise Saudi has taken part in a number of worldwide and national cruise and tourist events in order to increase its awareness and lure cruise lines to the coasts of Saudi Arabia. Some of these events include Seatrade Global in Miami, the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai, and the Saudi Amusement and Entertainment Show, amongst others.

Lars’s vision for Cruise Saudi is founded on innovation, and the recent launch of Cruise Saudi’s owned cruise line, AROYA Cruises, is a prime example of how this goal is being realized. AROYA Cruises is an independent brand that is part of the Cruise Saudi portfolio. The company provides adventures and services that are crafted to cater to Arabian preferences, which is a new endeavor in the cruise industry. This launch is a key step in providing new holiday possibilities for Saudi nationals, expatriates, and regional guests, thereby redefining the meaning of holidays in Saudi Arabia. Regional guests will be able to take advantage of these new holiday options beginning in 2020.

Cruise Saudi is committed to keeping its commitment to sustainability while simultaneously delivering unforgettable experiences in light of its role as an integral component of Saudi Vision 2030. The corporation has made it clear that it is fully dedicated to protecting the environment and reducing its carbon footprint in order to be consistent with the efforts being made on a global scale to battle climate change.
